The organization is fighting for addressing the social disparities, gaps, and major challenges that minorities particularly immigrants and refugee communities are facing and poverty both locally and abroad.

The local programs that we’re focusing on enhancing immigrants and refugee communities by doing as follows:
– Entrepreneurial training programs
– Home ownership programs that provide own payment assistance for low-income families

For international programs we focus on bringing resources, tools, products, and services through healthcare initiatives, education, WASH (clean water and sanitation) initiative, infrastructure, and  social entrepreneurial development.

For example, we plan to build medical clinics and healthcare center that will provide medical services, build schools (K-12), improvise innovation ways to solve dirty clean drinking water, waste management, and community development centers that will be community based resourceful centers for training, entrepreneurship, small business development, resources, etc.

Our projects and projects that we provide improve the quality of life and builds communities through education, healthcare, clean water, and economics for vulnerable and devastated people who are refugees, displaced, returnees, and local under-served communities in Horn Africa particularly South Sudan and western part of Ethiopia.

Through its efforts, ASDF plans to improve lives, foster peace and prosperity for refugees, displaced persons, local devastated communities and returning refugees who fled their villages and homes during over 50 years Sudanese civil wars and latest South Sudanese civil unrest that initially erupted as a genocide in late 2013-2018.
locally and abroad.

Now the ASDF focuses on safe clean water, sanitation, health, wellbeing, and health care initiative.

OUR IMPACT (ASDF) BOTH LOCAL, NATIONAL AND ABROAD

Our objective is to provide necessities, resources, tools,  products, opportunities that we believe make a real impact in these targeted communities regarding immigrants and refugees in Colorado and beyond, USA; as well as internationally particularly in South Sudan .  Our passion is to make a real difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate in our societies especially the ones that impact by poverty on the local and even international arenas.

Social servicefs, needs, and Health care programme

Currently the ASDF is working in Colorado with the immigrant communities and refugees. It also plans to do projects in northeastern and southeastern parts of South Sudan and western Ethiopia to serve the refugees and displaced people of the refugees and hosting communities. The focus is in Wanding, Kanyakanya, displaced people and Gambella Region and its surrounding areas along the South Sudan border. As there are over 500,000 refugees and tens of thousands of under-served people within this region that lack the most basic human necessities and services which limit their opportunities at a better life.

Water Project

ASDF understands that clean water is the foundation to health and disease prevention. There are crippled or no adequate sanitation/hygiene at existing and non-existing clean water system in the place nor ever been addressed.

Education & Educational Missions

As we strive to provide education, educational effort and empowerment integrated with financial education and so social economic development to the African immigrant communities and refugees here in Colorado and also the people of Africa, our mission is to improve literacy, financial education, services, and provides resources, tools, products and educational hubs while empowering children adolescents, young girls, and womem, and men starts in South Sudan and southwestern part of Ethiopia Region.

Build Economics, Transportation Initiative & Micro Financial Education Systems

Both African immigrant and refugees in Colorado, USA or nationally within the USA and abroad certainly need all kinds of needs and opportunities including services, jobs, education, financial literacy, small business development and other necessities that will enable them to develop their communities.  In 2021, we have proposed initiatives and projects that both African communities in Colorado or USA and abroad desire to have, that are transportation project, services, and a few other initiatives that we strongly feel will generate income for the organization in which we could support our missions and projects as we continue to use other innovative methods and ways to get funding for our projects and staffing infrastructure.

The displaced people, refugees, and local hosting communities in western Ethiopia and South Sudan border lack any economic system, financial education, and micro-businesses. These are basic essentials to have a healthy and prosperous community. Also, as we been developing partnerships and relationship with African immigrant communities and other organizations in Colorado, we strike for brining community development through diverse services and programs, such as educational opportunities, entrepreneurship, small business startups advocacy i.e. transportation services, infrastructures, technology, healthcare products, and other pillars that bring about improvement and eradicate extreme poverty from our community.

Where We Work

ASDF worked in South Sudan prior to the breakout of civil war. However the recent war has driven most NGOs out of the country. As a result ASDF has made the decision to start working in the Gambella region of Ethiopia, which borders South Sudan where as many as over 500,000 people fleeing the war in South Sudan now call home. There are at least five camps currently operating in the Gambella region.
