African Sustainable Development Foundation (ASDF)

ASDF is the US 501 (C)3 for tax deductible and exempt, which is focused locally and abroad, nonprofit/nongovernmental organization based in Denver Colorado, USA.  ASDF is focusing on serving underprivileged immigrant communities and refugees in Colorado, USA. We provide resources, tools and opportunities, such as technical support, mentorship, housing/rental assistance, youth development, and partners with local leaders, activists, entrepreneurs, and small businesses as well as help rebuild these underprivileged immigrant communities and refugees in Colorado.

It improves the quality of life and livelihoods in Africa particularly South Sudan, western part of Ethiopia includes bringing healthcare initiatives, projects, education, clean water and economic opportunities for the displaced, refugees, returnees and local underserved communities.

Presently, the ASDF as a directed grass-roots international nongovernmental organization (NGO)’s mission is to assist underprivileged immigrant communities and refugees in Colorado and beyond, USA affected and impacted by COVID and pandemic as well as poverty, by providing social services, resources, education, mentorship, empowerment, and housing/rental assistance, youth and women development.

Also, we intend to bring resources, tools and products in abroad, brining healthcare infrastructure, medical services, health, education and products for women, children, youth and marginalized people who are refugees, displaced communities and returning in the western Ethiopia and South Sudan and beyond. To improve their lives and provide a sustainable future for themselves, families, and communities.

MISSION STATTEMENT 2

The ASDF is all about to saving, transforming and empowering people and their communities building friendships, relationships, and access education, healthcare, economics, products, equipment, infrastructures, build the kingdom of Yahweh on earth as well as facilitate sustainable community development and raise standards of living for Africans and beyond, in order to alleviate suffering and grinding poverty.

Our ultimate mission and vision is to save and improve lives in providing a sustainable future for themselves, their families and communities where they will be self-reliance and efficiency.

To work with all African communities to facilitate the improvement of public health infrastructure, health care facilities, and provision of adequately trained health care providers.

VISION

ASDF envisions seeing underprivileged and underserved immigrant communities and refugees in Colorado and beyond within the United States to have access to resources, products, opportunities and be uplifted from poverty, in which they ‘re empowered, educated, thrived, and self-sustaining, where they developed themselves, families, and communities. 

It is the same hope with Africa, where it is a unified Africa that is prosper, self-reliant, self-sufficient, and self-sustaining and economically robust. Through partnerships and cooperation with other African led NGOs, businesses, as well as governments, we foresee Africa’s future as the leading global model for sustainable and innovative solutions to problems such as poverty, drought, and tropical disease.

Also, it is our plan to continue to developing partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, foundations and donors.

Critical Partnerships Serving the people of western Ethiopia and southeastern region of South Sudan
ASDF continues to develop partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, foundations and donors as well as local shareholders, women groups, and leaders.

I.E. ASDF is now building a partnership with DU, Orbis Institute, Engineers Without Borders, Posner Center for International Development, Managers Without Borders and Project C.U.R.E.

For local activities, projects and programs, we are focusing on social services and helping immigrant communities and refugees who are in need of help, assistance, and support with services, needs, education, mentorship, housing/rental, youth and small businesses developments, etc.

for our Intenational program, we partner with Project C.U.R.E will enable us to deliver life-saving medical supplies, equipment and other relief supplies in 40-foot cargo containers that will be shipped to the Gambella region and beyond. This container will have supplies worth $450,000 of critically needed medical equipment and other relief supplies.

This is one of the partnerships ASDF is building for ongoing sustainable. ducation and educational components including enhance literacy skills, job Skills set, personal development, and empowerment and provide capacity buildings as well.

 

Greater access to education, and economic empowerment/development integrated healthcare through: 

We are raising funds to provide access to education, financial services, lending program, build capacity effort and education services for women and young adults, and healthcare, equipment, products.  Includes access educational skill sets and personal development programs and empowerment initiatives for the vulnerable women, girls and young refugees and displaced young adults in this part of the world.

Here are just some of the ways your donations make an impact.

  • Improve basic literacy and job skills, financial education, financial services/lending tools and opportunities as well as educational empowerment through financial services, micro-lending programs, trainings, conferences, seminars, forums, and gatherings.
  • Health Awareness and Prevention Activities including community out-reach designed to reduce the spread of diseases like HIV AIDS and sexually transmitted infections
  • Education Pillar: Skill sets, personal development, financial services and Empowerment program including (develop both education and economic skills, personal development, discipline aptitude, motivational and educational hubs for women, young girls, children and men.
  • Purchase and deliver mosquito nets to prevent the further spread of disease
  • purchase and deliver water filtration, water pumps,  kits ( water treatment) to provide access to drinkable water.
  • Plan to build a clinic or clinics near the future
  • Organizational operational expenses and Developing staffing infrastructure in the region as well as here in Denver, CO.
